Drums Bio
I first picked up the sticks in my junior high school marching and concert band in 1991. My dad's musical influence finally took over and I began to excel at the art. Entering high school I decided to completely make the transition from pursuing sports to advancing my musical ability. Being in one of southern California's best high school music programs really helped advance my knowledge and skill.
During my 4 high school years I learned many complex rudiments, reading and writing abilities along with playing odd time signatures and how to work as a team. I started to become a leader and worked my way up to being captain of the high school drum line. During this time my drum line won multiple awards and championships and gained respect within the school and the community.
At the same time I had been working on mastering the drum set and applying all the skills I'd learned in school to the drum set. After high school I decided to solely concentrate on the set, declined offers to play in touring marching bands and began heavy gigging with bands. Since then I've played with multiple bands with style consisting of Hard Rock, Heavy Metal, Blues, Funk, Country, Hip Hop and Soul. I've played hundreds of live shows in many different cities and states. I consider himself a master at my instrument but at the same time I know that there is always more to learn and accomplish.
